About Tokiwa Museum

The Tokiwa Museum (Museum of Greenery, Flowers and Sculptures) is located in Tokiwa Park, a few minutes drive from the nearby Yamaguchi Ube Airport.

Tokiwa Park has a permanent outdoor sculpture exhibit, and the UBE Biennial （ Contemporary Japanese Sculpture Exhibition ）, a biennial public exhibition held at the UBE Biennial Sculpture Hill, is now attracting the attention of sculptors from around the world.

Also, the Tokiwa Museum World Traveling Botanical Museum （ reopened on April 29, 2017 ） with the concept of "a botanical museum where you can travel the world and be impressed", features eight zones that reproduce the vegetation of their native regions, with distinctive symbol trees （. The largest baobab, parabolaccio, olive, etc. ） in Japan are planted, and visitors can encounter rare plants and flowers as if they were traveling around the world. The original cactus with beautiful flowers created in Tokiwa Park is a precious cactus that cannot be seen anywhere else. Other exhibits include orchids, cattleyas, and insectivorous plants.


About the Museum

Tokiwa Museum （ Green, Flower and Sculpture Museum （ Botanical Hall, Exhibition Hall, UBE Biennial Sculpture Hill, UBE Biennial Library ）, Event Hall open to the public, Museum Shop, Coffee Shop, and other facilities. In addition, the Art Gallery in the Tokiwa Lake Hall in Tokiwa Park holds exhibitions of the sculptures in its collection and special exhibitions.
